Labosem

LABOSEM laboratory is specialized in seed tests.
Located in Brain-sur-l'Authion (49), it carries out analyzes at the request of seed companies or experimental organizations,
in connection with all actors of the seed sector (seed companies, distributors, farmers), as well as
technical institutes, experimental structures and development organizations of the agricultural sector.
LABOSEM also provides training for seed plant technicians.

Micro-cleaning

The raw samples are sorted (cleaned) on scale models of industrial machinery
to determine the waste rates, following the same processes as those applied in the factory.
The sorted samples will then be analyzed.

Purity analysis

The recognition of all kinds of seeds is the basis of purity analyzes.
In order to maintain this knowledge, technicians, often passionate,
have spent a lot of time building and managing a reference collection.
This collection is naturally used internally in a permanent way,
but also for the training of seed technicians and with customers and visitors,
to illustrate questions of specific purity.

Reference seed collection

Most of the seeds come from samples received for analysis.
The weed part of the collection, derived from micro-cleaning and purity analyzes, is particularly rich.
But the collection also contains field, forest, fodder, vegetable, ornamental, aromatic and medicinal seeds,
and of course, reference samples as defined by the organization setting the rules for seed analysis,
the International Seed Testing Association .
