List or Tiled view
List view
You have direct access to the collection by clicking on the List
view or
Tiled view
icon.
These are two ways to show *your selection* of grains according to the parameters
entered:
- List
view for a search by the names and characteristics
of the grains of *your selection *.
Hovering your mouse over the name shows a small image of the grain and a click
opens the corresponding grain page.
- Tiled
view for comparison and visual search on the images of *your selection*.
Hovering your mouse over the image displays the name of the grain and a click opens
the corresponding
grain page.
Tiled view
- The same selection tool, at the top of the pages
(List
or Tiled),
allows you to define *your selection*
Search for a word or part of
a word, in one of the grain parameters ( Names, Genus, Species,
Family, etc.)
Choose a sort
key ( Name,
Grain size, Plant height, etc.. ) and *your selection* is
done.
As examples, the page displays
a few random selections. Look
and amend to make your own selection.
- Click the Update button
to update *your selection* and update the page.
You can also change the view of *your selection* with the button
toggling from List
view to Tiled
view.
*Your selection* will stay in the same order and with the
same numbering.
The grain page
A grain page
displays
- genus, species, familly, (possibly synonyms), common
names in multiple languages,
- characteristics of the grain
(and possibly of the plant),
- an image of the
grain at medium magnification (zoom with
mousewheel),
- thumbnails for 4
different magnifications (click to change),
- navigation links (next or previous grain, back to
list or tiles of *your selection*, etc..)
